e. With the exception of the rights provided under letter (d), Participants may not claim damages or other compensation for the mere change of date or rescheduling of the Event, nor can they request coverage for indirect costs (transportation, accommodation, or other personal expenses).

f. The Organizer will make all reasonable efforts to inform the Participants regarding the change of date via email, SMS, and publication on the Website, as soon as possible. In situations of emergency or imminent danger, prior notification may not be possible, without this affecting the rights provided under letter (d).

6.1 The Organizer may provide the Participants, for a fee, with a temporary storage service for personal belongings ("SafeBox"), in a designated and supervised area within the check-in zone. The service is in the nature of a storage contract for consideration, within the meaning of Art. 2103 et seq. of the Civil Code.

6.2 Upon handing over the goods, the Participant is issued a proof of storage (numbered ticket/wristband), based on which the return is made. The return is made exclusively to the holder of the proof of storage, at the conclusion of the Event or within the communicated time interval.

6.3 The following items are not accepted for storage and are not covered by the service: cash, jewelry, watches, valuable electronic devices, identification documents, bank cards, medication, as well as perishable, fragile, dangerous goods, or those prohibited under this document. If such goods are placed in storage without declaration, their storage is done at the exclusive risk of the Participant.

6.4 As a storage provider for consideration, the Organizer shall preserve the goods with the diligence required under Art. 2107–2108 of the Civil Code and shall be liable for their loss, theft, or damage caused by its own fault, including out of negligence. Liability is limited to the actual value of the item and cannot exceed 500 RON per Participant, unless, prior to handing it over, the Participant declared in writing a higher value, which was expressly accepted by the Organizer, potentially subject to an additional fee.

6.5 The limitation under Art. 6.4 does not apply in the case of damages caused with intent or through gross negligence, for which the Organizer shall be fully liable, pursuant to Art. 1355 para. (1) of the Civil Code, and it does not affect the liability for damages caused to the physical integrity or health of individuals.

6.6 Unclaimed goods at the conclusion of the Event shall follow the regime provided under Art. 20.

7. Activity Risks and Assumption of Risks by Participants
7.1 The event “FangLand – Dracula’s Hunting Night” is an immersive outdoor event taking place in a forest, within a natural environment featuring variable terrain, slopes, and uneven ground (trails, level differences, fallen trees, steep inclines, slippery or muddy areas), including nighttime conditions.
7.2 Participants (Survivors) will engage in physical and interactive activities specific to an apocalyptic survival scenario, including climbing, running, crouching, searching for clues and props, as well as interactions and physical contact with actors and event staff.
7.3 The event includes moments of suspense, fear, horror, and stress designed to recreate experiences adapted to the scenario. Participants acknowledge and accept that exposure to such stimuli constitutes an integral part of the nature of the activity.
7.4 The Organizer has implemented safety and warning measures to prevent accidents. However, the participants (survivors) acknowledge and accept that the event takes place in a natural, dark, and difficult-to-control environment, which involves inherent risks, including, but not limited to:
a. encounters with wild animals (bears, jackals, and other wildlife) or insects;
b. sprains, fractures, dislocations, contusions, cuts, scratches, bruises;
c. accidents caused by slipping, tripping, falling, or contact with rough, uneven, sloping, slippery, or muddy terrain;
d. hypothermia, dehydration, physical exhaustion, or other effects associated with weather conditions and physical exertion;
e. adverse reactions to special effects (lights, sounds, smoke, scenographic elements), acute stress, fear, or intense emotional reactions specific to the horror/survival theme;
f. temporary loss of orientation or getting lost inside or outside the Game Zone;
g. damage, soiling, or loss of personal belongings;
h. physical risks associated with exertion and simulated physical interactions with the actors and the environment, under the conditions and within the limits provided for in Art. 11.3.
7.5 The Participants acknowledge that this list is exemplary and not exhaustive, and that other risks inherent to the nature of the activity may occur, which cannot be entirely anticipated. The acknowledgment of these risks is made under the conditions of Art. 7.7 and does not remove the Organizer's duty of diligence, nor its liability for damages caused by its own fault.
7.6 Participants undertake to strictly follow the instructions of the actors and staff in order to prevent dangerous situations and to ensure their own protection as well as that of other participants.
7.7 By participating in the event, the participants assume the risks listed in the articles referred to under Art. 7.4

8. Emergency Protocol and Safe Word
Given the intense, immersive nature and high level of interaction of the event (LARP Survival/Horror), the Organizer has established an Emergency Protocol (Safe Word), mandatory for all participants and staff (Actors/Staff).
8.1 Activation of the Protocol At any time when a Participant feels in real (non-fictional) physical danger, experiences a panic attack, a medical emergency, or wishes to immediately withdraw from the game, they must loudly and clearly state the predetermined word: “STOP GAME.”
8.2 Immediate Effect The use of the Safe Word “STOP GAME” notifies the staff that a real emergency has occurred and that the situation is not part of the scenario. The staff (including Actors) are required to immediately cease any physical or verbal interaction with the respective person, step out of character, and provide the necessary assistance or contact emergency medical personnel.
8.3 Participants are required to use the Safe Word to signal a real emergency. Since expressions such as "Help!" may be part of the script, their automatic recognition as a real signal cannot be guaranteed, which is why the correct use of the Safe Word is essential. However, the Staff is obligated to cease interaction and intervene whenever a state of real physical danger or a medical emergency becomes reasonably apparent, regardless of the words used by the participant.
8.4 By purchasing a ticket, the participant understands and accepts that the proper use of the Safe Word is their primary responsibility in the event of an emergency requiring the immediate suspension of the game.

9. Participation at Own Risk
9.1 By purchasing a ticket and participating in the event, the participant confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted the nature of the activities and the risks inherent thereto.
9.2 The participant (Survivor) takes part at their own risk and expressly assumes all risks associated with the activities carried out.
9.3 The Organizer has taken reasonable safety measures. The Organizer is not liable for accidents or damages arising exclusively from the inherent risks of the activities or the natural environment and which are not attributable to it. Furthermore, the Organizer is not liable for the damage, soiling, or wear and tear of clothing and personal belongings that the Participant chooses to bring along, which are inherent to the nature of the activity described under Art. 7 and 14.6. The Organizer remains liable, according to the law, for damages caused by its gross negligence or intent and, regardless of the degree of fault, for damages caused to the physical or psychological integrity or to the health of the participants, pursuant to Art. 1355 of the Civil Code.
9.4 Participation in the event implies the express acceptance of this article and confirmation that the participant (Survivor) will comply with the instructions of the staff and actors in order to prevent dangerous situations.

10. Medical Recommendations
10.1 Participation is recommended only for persons who are in good physical and mental health.
10.2 The event may be dangerous for individuals with pre-existing medical conditions, including but not limited to:
a. Epilepsy or other seizure disorders;
b. Severe cardiac or circulatory conditions;
c. Mobility impairments or other conditions that limit the ability to move or react quickly;
d. Any other conditions which, considering the nature of the activities and the natural environment, may endanger the participant’s life or health.
10.3 Participants are responsible for assessing their health condition prior to participation and for ensuring that they are capable of handling the physical effort and specific conditions of the event. The Organizer recommends consulting a physician in case of uncertainty regarding fitness to participate.
10.4 By participating in the event, the participant (survivor) confirms that they are in a state of health suitable for the activities described under Art. 7 and 10.2 and that they participate at their own risk. The Organizer is not liable for the aggravation of any undeclared pre-existing conditions, nor for the consequences of the participation of a person whose state of health is contraindicated for the activities, as the assessment of fitness to participate is the sole responsibility of the participant. This provision does not remove or limit the Organizer's liability for damages caused by its own fault, under the conditions of Art. 1355 of the Civil Code.

11. Code of Conduct
11.1 Participants undertake to comply with the rules of conduct and to adopt responsible and safe behavior throughout the event.
11.2 The following are strictly prohibited:
a. The use of blunt, sharp, or dangerous objects;
b. Climbing decorative elements, improvised structures, or ruins within the forest area;
c. The consumption of prohibited substances or any substances that affect reaction capacity and the safety of oneself or other participants;
d. Physical or verbal aggression towards other participants (Survivors), actors, or event staff;
e. Lighting fires in the forest, in accordance with Law no. 171/2010 regarding the establishment and sanctioning of forestry contraventions and with forest fire prevention regulations.
f. Throwing or abandoning in the forest any type of waste, packaging, or contaminating material is strictly prohibited under environmental protection and waste management legislation. Participants are required to use the specially designated collection points within the location and to maintain the area in proper clean condition.

g. Smoking of any kind (including traditional cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, vapes, or tobacco heating devices) is permitted exclusively in specially designated areas, signed and marked by the organizer
within the event grounds. Smoking outside these designated areas (including on trails or directly in the forest) is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply with this rule will result in the participant’s immediate removal from the event and the cancellation of their access wristband, without any right to a refund. The participant assumes full individual civil and criminal liability for any damage or forest fires caused as a result of their actions.

11.3 Limitation and Consent Regarding Physical Interaction
a. Participant Consent By purchasing a ticket and participating in the event, the Participant declares that they understand and expressly accept that the event involves a significant degree of simulated physical interaction with actors, essential to the LARP/survival experience.
b. Limits of Actors’ Actions
- Actors are authorized to perform non-aggressive physical contact maneuvers, including grabbing, pulling, blocking, holding, or temporarily immobilizing a Participant, strictly for the purpose of carrying out the narrative scenario (e.g., capture, confrontation).
- Any actions by actors that constitute real physical aggression are strictly prohibited, including hitting, slapping, pushing, kicking, violent tackling (slamming), or any physical contact exceeding the purpose of simulation and capable of causing bodily injury.
c. Prohibition on Touching Actors
- In order to protect staff and preserve the integrity of the scenario, Participants are strictly prohibited from engaging in any form of physical contact, touching, retaliation, simulated defense, or attack against actors or Organizer staff.
- Actors are not considered “targets” or “opponents” who may be touched, immobilized, or struck by Participants.
d. Sanctions: Failure to comply with the prohibition set forth under point (c) constitutes a serious breach of the Terms and Conditions, equivalent to real physical aggression. Such conduct results in the immediate and permanent exclusion of the Participant from the event, without entitlement to a ticket refund, and may be subject to civil or criminal legal proceedings in accordance with the Romanian Criminal Code and Civil Code.
11.4 The Organizer reserves the right to immediately exclude from the event any participant who violates these rules, without entitlement to ticket refund or any other compensation.
11.5 Participants undertake to follow the instructions of staff and actors at all times in order to ensure their own protection and that of other participants.
11.6 Failure to comply with the rules of conduct may result, in addition to exclusion from the event, in civil or criminal liability in accordance with applicable legislation.

12. Participants’ (Survivors’) Obligation to Follow Staff Instructions and Safety Signage
2.1 Participants undertake to always comply with the instructions of staff and actors, as well as all signage along the route and any markings delimiting the space designated for the event.
12.2 Leaving the designated event area is done at the participant’s own risk, and the Organizer shall not be liable for accidents, losses, or incidents occurring outside the designated event space.
12.3 Once a participant leaves the area designated for the event, they no longer have the right to re-enter the game area. In such case, the Organizer, through staff and actors, may permanently remove the participant from the event.
12.4 Compliance with staff instructions and safety signage is essential for the safety of the participant and other Survivors, as well as for the proper conduct of the event.
12.5 Failure to comply with these obligations may result, in addition to exclusion from the game, in civil or criminal liability under applicable law if the incident causes material damage or injury.

13. Partial Release of Liability and Participant Responsibilities
13.1 The Organizer shall not be held liable for accidents, injuries, or damages resulting from:

a. Material damages caused to props, furniture, equipment, or event infrastructure;
b. Damages caused to their own personal property or to the property of other participants;
c. Physical or material harm caused to other participants, actors, or FangLand staff.
13.3 The Organizer recommends that participants obtain personal insurance policies covering accidents, injuries, or damages that may occur during the event, both for their own protection and that of third parties.
13.4 By participating in the event, the Survivor confirms that they understand and accept the responsibilities and release of liability set forth in this article.

14. Access Rules and Conduct
14.1 Participant check-in will take place at the Event location, between 14:00 and 16:00
14.2 Participants who fail to check in within the specified time interval will lose their right of access to the Event, without entitlement to a refund of the ticket value, as late arrival may affect the safety and coherence of the immersive FangLand experience.
14.3 Consent to Security Screening
Access to the event is strictly conditioned upon acceptance and compliance with standard security screening procedures. The participant expressly and unequivocally agrees that authorized security personnel may conduct:

By purchasing the ticket, the participant declares that they have taken note of and fully accepted these access conditions.

17.5 A participant who does not wish to appear in the materials provided for under Art. 17.2 lit. (a) may expressly signal this to the check-in staff.
